This is a Sleeping Beauty tale with a Hades and Persephone twist. I loved it! The story draws you in from the first page and then it’s a roller coaster through to the end. Everything comes at the characters fast and as a reader you’re thrown into it as well. It’s a crash course into a new world. I really liked the characters and the story is unlike anything I’ve read before. I highly recommend it.

Huh...What's with my Atlantis recent reads? Anyway...
I liked this mash-up contemporary fantasy book. I thought the story was unique because I did not expect the FMC and MMC end up falling for each other in a dreamworld where they meet, talk, and figure out what happened to the MMC. The FMC is in the "real world" and is trying to figure out where he is and to wake him up. Yes, almost the ENTIRE book they are not together in the real world, but...the dreamworld was enough for me and it was different.
The romance is a kind of insta-lust, but they take a long time to act on anything and, really, this book isn't spicy for me. But I enjoyed how they got to know each other and manipulated their dreamworld with whoever was in charge of it that time.
I thought the mystery was mostly interesting. Some of the world politics was a little "eh" for me and not as interesting, but I like a good romance mystery and this had a strong "mystery" kind of element to this fantasy.
I will say that sometimes my brain struggled with the contemporary world setting with the magical element to it. Like I'd forget "oh, yeah, Hadez is a mob lord..." But I think that has more to do with a good portion of the book is them in the dreamworld that they're manipulating however they want.
I thought this was a good standalone. Sometimes standalone are too quick or not enough, but I felt this was just enough plot and romance to keep me satisfied.

I’m a huge fan of Olivia and once again she did not disappoint me. This story had it all, it was a whirl wind of action and romance. Can’t wait to own a SE of this one!
