This is not a bad book. I am, however, not a suspense romance person and didn't realize that's what this would be. I kept hoping they'd solve the problem and get back to the romance, but nope. The MCs and drawn out plot and family drama frustrated me. If you like a little (a lot of) mystery with your romance, I can reccomend this. It was not for me, though.

I read the first 25% so fast!! I had such high hopes. But this book is so unnecessarily long. There were some parts where I was bored and almost DNFd it but I was already so far along. I wish there was more plot about Tarian’s family and the Atlanteans in general. Everyone is so scared of the family but I wish we could see why. What makes them so scary? Just because they are Atlantean? I wanted more about the Holy Hunters. I did enjoy the mystery aspect of the book and who was behind the kidnapping of a certain person.

Well paced, interesting deep characters, FMC a little annoying but the story was sweet and exciting. Sort of Hades-Persephone, sort of genderbent Sleeping Beauty. Interesting world.
