Elle Olsen is a stylist working in a high end department store, Dylan's, when she is asked to assist a customer with his wardrobe. Little does she know that he knows her secret, she is Princess Eloise, of Elston and he is a top level resistance fighter willing to do anything to get her back on the throne. She doesn't want to return because when the coup d'etat occurred she watched her father die for his country.
Dominick Rasmussen is not only a billionaire but once his kidnaps Eloise (Elle) he knows he needs to prepare her for the Fjende who now are in control of her former home. He's willing to prepare her for a return to her island home and eventually overthrow the Fjende government that has other plans for Elle's return.
I really liked this book and with the cryptic ending you'll wonder if there might be a second book in the wings with Major Bendtsen. But there is some intrigue another kidnapping and a huge surprise that unless you read between the lines/words that you'll never see coming. Will Eloise become queen? Or fall in love with a Dom, who classifies himself as a foreigner and a resistance fighter who also lost his family during the siege? You'll have to read this wonderful book and find out all the answers and you'll thoroughly enjoy the book as I did.

It was a fun, interesting, sexy and enjoyable read but I found for such a short book it was very repetitious at the beginning.

This was a really fun royal bodyguard romance! I've been dying to get my hands on books with this kind of trope, and this was a great one. The romance wasn't the strongest to me, I felt like they fell in love in a blink of an eye and I didn't fully see the development, but overall, it was just a really fun and enjoyable read, and it's really steamy as well. So I do recommend it if you love the bodyguard trope and royal romances!
