I had some issues with it, but all in all it is an essential book for me at the moment (because as related by some of these contributors, ironically, Buddhism actually brought me to accept and understand the full magnitude of being transgender). It really is unfathomable that Buddhists, who follow such central tenets as ignorance/delusion being a main source of dukkha, simply cannot accept the illusion of the gender binary and gender as being anything but a social construction. I mean, we also did have the current Dalai Lama remark that a female successor had to be attractive, so I guess we really do have a long way to go!

Graphic: Sexual assault and Transphobia
Moderate: Suicide, Bullying, Alcohol, and Suicidal thoughts
Minor: Death, Grief, Ableism, Mental illness, Racism, Child abuse, and Drug abuse
The essay with the graphic description of sexual assault, called The Prodigal Daughter Returns, is the only essay that does give content warnings.kait_unicorn's review

A wonderful collection of dharma voices. Certain essays had me feeling like These Are My Sangha!!! Grateful to the editors for compiling this timely anthology. May it be of benefit.
