White snow... What is "white? What is "snow"? It is something that is not red. Something that is "red" ... is what?

What a promising start to a manga series! We follow our main character, Yuki, who is part of the disciplinary committee at Cross Academy, a school which educates two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. What few people know, though, is that the Night Class is composed entirely of vampires. Between attending classes and trying to keep the vampires a secret, Yuki only has time for two things: her crush on Kaname, the vampire who saved her life when she was younger, and her constant battles with fellow disciplinary committee member, Zero.

This story is very repetitive in some ways - we get an explanation of the school at the start of every night, Zero always tries to pick a fight with the vampires, and the Day Class students make Yuki's life miserable in their attempts to flirt with the Night Class - but in others it is very original and, at some points, even shocking in ways it maybe shouldn't be.
It was probably obvious that Zero was a vampire, but I had gone back and forth on it enough times to rule it out entirely just before it was revealed to be the truth.

Ultimately, I'm very much looking forward to how this series continues. The relationships are interesting and I'm intrigued to learn more about Kaname's attachment to Yuki. Her affection for him makes sense, in light of their meeting years ago, but what is it that drew him to her in the first place? Why was he even there that night to save her?

I'm sure I'll find out soon enough!
