Much better than the previous two in the Millennium series. The book still felt like it jumped around between two story lines that the author could not decide between. In the end, they did tie together, but not as tightly as I had hoped.
This is the first time David Lagercrantz manages to impress me with his continuation of the Millenium series. It's of course not on par with the original author, but still, the was great drive here and I never wanted to stop listening.
Lisbeth, not wanting to be a sitting duck, is hunting her sister. The latter is after her life and has a bunch of con-man on Lisbeth's trail. They stop at nothing. At the same time, Michael is getting involved in the myserious death of a beggar. A death that seems to involve a government minister. The two plot-lines move in parallel, occasionally intervening and all the more so toward the end. This was absolutely worth my time.

They're not as excellent as the first ones but still intriguing. It's a nice escape for a teacher.

big yikes for the forced and non-believable romantic plots. the mystery plot was entertaining but even i noticed the clumsy writing. it was poorly tied together with the other mystery plot about lisbeth's sister. a disappointing ending for a great series.
As always, an interesting read. I needed a bit of time to catch up with the story (and past storylines) but once I got into it, I found it hard to put down. The connections to Lisbeth, Mt. Everest expedition and more tied together well, and I loved the addition of Catrin. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
En ok krimi, som jeg primært læste, fordi jeg elskede de originale. Den her er ikke lige så god ... men fin.
I love this series, but this one’s kind of a mess. The narratives only tangentially connect and it’s pretty anti-climatic on both fronts.
Lagercrantz’s third (and possibly final) Millennium entry is very much possibly the most enjoyable out of his three entries. The beginning of this mystery brought me in well with the chemistry between Blomkvist and Salander being the best part of it all, with the ending hoping that it will give this series it’s well earned goodbye. B+ (83%/Very Good)
