This book was not quite what I expected based on the cover and look of other contemporary romcoms. It was cute but I found some of it rather grating. I found the depiction of introversion a little condescending at times, and some of the small town cozy and narrative convenience was too much to look past. Fine enough but I don’t think this author is for me.

I was provided an ALC of this audiobook through libro.fm’s ALC program. All opinions are mine.

Hey!

This book is adorable but not as good as When in Rome as I thought. I had higher hopes for this book and the fact that the male lead is supposed to be a bodyguard for Amelia but ended up being with Allie this whole time ( I mean they were meant for each other ) still he should be doing his work instead just chilling in the small town. Overall this book was funnier and cheesy but still 3.5 stars

I can’t stop smiling from all the cuteness. I was smiling and laughing from beginning to end. I loved the romance, the angst and pining.

Bad boy who doesn’t believe in love & good girl who wants to be loved & settle down = Match made in heaven.

If you like angsty closed door romance - this is for you.

This is EXACTLY how you write a fun romance 😍 Adams’s knocks it out of the park with this one. Annie and Will may be complete opposites in many ways but the moment they come together in honor of “practicing”, it couldn’t be more perfect.

Will knows how to communicate and we will forever find communication sexy in our book boyfriends, won’t we ladies? Annie has this feisty side that needs a chance to show up and boy does it ever. There is just something incredibly wonderful about a pair that not only supports and encourages each other but respect boundaries and puts personal needs for growth above all else.

As soon as I finished the paperback of “Practice Makes Perfect” I downloaded the audio because y’all I am a STAN for Rome, Kentucky and all of it’s happy ever afters.
