I loved the romance in this book, as well as the general relationships (siblings, friends, etc). The characters had great depth, and the dialogue between them didnโ€™t feel cringey.
If youโ€™re in the mood for a sweet, small town, bad boy(well man)/ good girl (woman) story, then you will eat this up babe.

I loved this even more than the first one! Annie and Will have my heart

At first, I thought Annie was going to be the typical "oh I'm soo introverted, all I do is read romance, lonely in my room" (and I hate those characters!) but thankfully she was not. I admired and felt her desire to grow into the person she really wanted to be not the person everyone expected her to be.

Will <33333 Love this man. I'm usually also not one for the tortured MMC but he was okay ๐Ÿคญ I love tattoos. Usually, we see the heroine changing her goals, changing what she ultimately wants out of life and relationships, and don't get me wrong, Annie does do that, too!, but here, Will is the one who really realises and "updates" his goals in relationships and it was so nice to see! I loved him embracing who he was ๐Ÿฅน

Overall, this is a story about growing into your own โ€“ but not having to grow all alone. And isn't that what we all want in the end?

I randomly picked up this audiobook, knew nothing about it, & it ended up becoming a new favorite of mine!

I fell in love with Annie from Chapter 1. I felt so seen with her. She's introverted, awkward, & has social anxiety, preferring to stay home with a book than go out. She's quiet & shy, but if you're one of those few people who stick around in her life long enough, she opens up to be her true self. I loved her chapters as we got her inner thoughtsโ€”they were funny & endearing. I felt her frustration at other people's assumptions about her personality.

Will has become one of my top MMCs. He was respectful of Annie & wasn't the overly jealous type. He trusted her & didn't want to change her but help gain confidence in herself.

Their relationship was so much fun. I enjoyed the opposites attract and the whole "innocent, sweet woman getting mixed up with the trouble maker, experienced guy" dynamic. Though this was a closed door romance, their chemistry was off the charts! Their ability to communicate their feelings with each other was refreshing. Even though Will was adamant in not falling in love, he never denied his feelings for Annie. They never pushed each other. They knew what the other wanted and accepted that fact and waited until the other was ready.

I laughed so many times, but Annie's date with Brandon was one of the funniest scenes I've ever read. It got me wanting to read Amelia's story immediately, because she was hilarious.

Practice Makes Perfect is the PERFECT sweet and wholesome love story & I highly recommend!

An utterly adorable, slightly steamy (closed-door) romance!

I didn't read the precursor to this novel, When in Rome, but Practice Makes Perfect stands perfectly well on its own.

I can't believe that first guy, Mr. Khakis-and-no-effort-or-personality, had the gall to call Annie boring! Any time the story was told from her POV, I found myself laughing out loud at least twice. She's a total hoot! I could completely understood the ideas her family and the town at large had about her and the boxes they put her in could chafe over a lifetime of living in Rome. Annie was hilarious, interesting, smart, original, and caring, an excellent female MC.

Will was a sensitive and sexy, but not flawless, male MC. His imperfections made me love him, because he felt real. I loved how he sees Annie - really sees her - and how amazing she is, from page one. He doesn't want her to change, and he's right that she neither should nor needs to change.

The sibling relationships were all lovely. I thought the opposite reactions Will and his brother had after their upbringing was both an interesting contrast and quite believable. Their opening up to one another was a heartwarming moment. The love between Annie and her sisters, especially with their wholehearted addition of Amelia Rose to their ranks, was a delight. I love seeing women support and love and have fun with one another!

Man oh man, I didn't know that a closed-door romance would be so...steamy. I don't know how Adams flustered me so fully without any explicit scenes, but she did, and I'm impressed!

Steamy without being explicit, but also funny and adorable, I'd definitely recommend Practice Makes Perfect!

Just as cute and flirtatious as its predecessor, When In Rome, but more grounded too.

What a lovely bookโœจ I read when in Rome earlier this year and the sequel did not disappoint. It's all kinds of sweet, funny and did I say sweet? The characters are flawed to a point and I love them; all of them had sweetness in their bones. Some of the older generation's mindset is reflected here (how they easily judge interesting people like Will who is ripped and inked) I love the chemistry between Annie and Will, they were so fun. I loved all the secondhand embarrassment moments.๐Ÿ˜‚ Overall, a fun read and a potential reread in the future. Thank you, Sarah, โค๏ธ
