I really liked this book. Oz was straight up stalker but with good intentions... lol but it was a fun story that reminded me of first loves and girls night with your best friend!

A stalker delight.

I have to say this book is borderline stalkerish, but it works. Oz is definitely obsess with Mallory. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked Oz because of it, but for some weird reason it works. Mallory is very sweet, but she is very naive of her surroundings. I pretty much caught on as to who played what role in her life from the beginning and for some reason Mallory couldn't see the obvious signs. Overall, this was a quick read that was cute and creepy at the same time. I love my epilogues and this one had 3 and it was a win win for me.

Not the usual Alexa Riley raunch. A bit of a recycled story but, sexy and sweet nonetheless.

This book was really interesting at first...but after the twist (which I think we all see coming), it just drones on and on. There is nothing building up. There is no angst or strife. They go places, they do things, and it's very boring. I felt like the author got bored writing it and wondered why it wasn't made much shorter .... I kept waiting for something else to happen given that I had 100 pages left and just .... nothing. Also, I really didn't like how the characters developed and the story got way to out in left field for me.

This is more like a 2.5 for me. I liked parts of this book but couldn't get past Oz and his obsessive, controlling, stalker-like behavior. I like a H that's all in and he was but it was a bit too much. He pulled the strings and took away all her options and I didn't like that at all. Plus, I kept waiting for something to happen, something exciting, but there was nothing - no major conflict, no dramatic take-down of a bad guy, not even an unexpected illness - just sunshine and rainbows. Overall, the writing was good, it's the characters I had issues with. I am really looking forward to Paige's book next though and can't wait to read it.

This is a typical Alexa Riley story, inst-love, obsessive but it is so much more.
If you can accept that then its a great story.

Miles sees Mallory at a time when he is struggling with personal problems and she is too young for him to get involved. So he learns about her difficult family situation and 'helps' her along in life, taking care of her.

Mallory only really has her good friend Paige, whose story is in the next book in the series and her situation is hinted at and eluded to in this book.

I have read other stories where the hero is obsessed with the heroine and its about getting her to see how perfect they'd be together but this book is so much more than that. There are a few extra twists when she finds out his role in her life, which you know she will, its just how bad will the fall out be.
When she gets upset with him, which happens at times, i liked the way although she finds she 'melts' if he touches her she also stands her ground and makes him see her POV and makes him work for it. When he does 'work' for it, he is incredible. But he shows her a different side that he shows the business world. There is depth to their story and it is a bit longer or at least seemed longer than her other stories which is an extra bonus.

Looking forward to book 2.

A love at first sight that turns into a sweet obsession. Oz and Mallory's story is a slightly twisted (hello, pulling strings to make her his!) love story. I truly enjoyed this story and would highly recommend this.

Note, I did request and received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The writing is great but the male main character in this book is not my jam.

Found something shiny and wanted it. Age and power difference. Playing god with her life. Lying. Dick to everyone but her. Fucking the boss but you don’t know it. Virgin because you kept her that way. Insta-pregnant.
