Another amazing book by Vi! I was so looking forward to this book and Vi didn't let me down. Loved Hudson & Stella. So many great nuances throughout the story that kept me on my toes. Loved it. Amazing narration by Andi Arndt & Sebastian York as always!

Hooked from the beginning, I loved this one. I've yet to read a Vi Keeland book I didn't enjoy.

WARNING! Your heart might do back flips while reading this book and put some crazy smile on your lips!

“You know I’m counting all the times you torture me. Eventually I’ll get even.”
“And how will you do that?”
He leaned in and kissed my cheek, then moved his lips to my ear. “With my mouth.”
I blinked a few times, taking in Hudson’s smirk as he walked away.
He spoke over his shoulder. “Hold that thought, Stella. Your whisper is getting almost loud enough that I can hear it.
Oh boy. I’m in trouble.

I waffled between 3 or 4 stars, and ultimately decided to give this book 4 stars because it really was NOT a bad book. The romance was sweet, the Hero was sweet, the Heroine was sweet, it was all just really sweet. And that's a problem for me, because apparently I've strayed too far to the dark side of romance and sweet romances just don't cut it for me anymore. I didn't think it was fair to downgrade the rating of this book just because I tend to lean more towards the anti-heroes than the sweet heroes. The book was well written and I really enjoyed reading about the heroines business plan and watching her business take off. The reason this isn't a 5 star read for me (not counting the sweet romance) is because I felt like we didn't get as much details as I would have preferred. We got a lot of information on both of the main characters pasts, but it wasn't enough for me. I wanted to know exactly why the hero and his ex wife divorced since he didn't know about her big secret until now. I wanted to know how the heroine reacted when she caught her ex fiance cheating on her. I wanted to know how the hero's parents passed away since the characters are not old by any means, but both of his parents are already gone. I wanted to know how it was for her seeing her parents again after being no contact for a year. I know these things don't technically have much impact on their love story, but you can't throw these things at me and then not expect me to be nosey and want more. I feel like giving us those emotions from those situations would have developed the characters more.

If you're looking for a high steam romance, this is not for you. Did they have sexual chemistry? yes. But the actual steam, to me, was very lackluster. Again, it was just an all around "sweet" book. Like in one bedroom scene, they're both looking into each others eyes and taken over with emotion and both have "glistening eyes". IDK, the hero was almost TOO sweet for me. Starting the book, I thought this was going to be an enemies to lovers type trope, but that wasn't the case. The hero seemed to be what he calls a "realist" and doesn't believe in happily ever afters anymore, but he was pretty hooked on the heroine after a few chapters and never seemed to shy away from his developing feelings for her, which isn't what I expected after reading his thoughts and actions in the beginning of the book. But like I said twice already, this ended up just being a sweet romance with only a little angst.

Again, NOT a bad book. The writing is great, there isn't any editing errors that I noticed. if you're looking for a sweet love story with little angst, this book is for you! It's just not what seems to be hitting my reading tastes these days.

Great refreshing story from what we usually get from Vi Keeland and definitely loved it. Hudson and Stella's story is one you need to read, it will have you guessing and then a twist and you are back to reading until you are done, there is no way to put it down. Your heart will fall in love with the characters, you will be swooning all the time. Their chemistry is great, the pacing is perfect, definitely one read you will enjoy immensely. I also recommend the audiobook.

I hardly ever rate a fun or light read with 5 stars, but this one deserves it. I could not put the book down. I loved both Stella with her strange and endearing character traits and Hudson was just swoon worthy. I kind of wished the story didn't end.

As usual, I fell in love with a book by Vi Keeland. Her characters always suck me in, and her plots always have a little twist.

The hook of this story was fantastic! I loved the crashed wedding idea really got me interested in continuing to read!

I absolutely loved Hudson~ I loved that he wasn't the typical "bad boy" or was opposed to relationships. I loved that he let Stella know his intentions pretty early on. Stella... she was so strong. I loved her independence and fierceness that she possessed.

I always enjoy reading books by Vi Keeland, and The Invitation was no exception!

Another Vi Keeland winner for me. I loved the progression of this book between the two main characters, but I especially loved the relationship between Stella and Olivia!

Stella is down on her luck now that her roommate unexpectedly moved out and her rent check bounced. Shortly after, her ex-roommate receives an invitation to Stella's dream wedding - Stella and her best friend Fischer decide to pretend to be the ex-roommate (Evelyn).

While at the wedding, Stella meets and falls into lust with a very sexy groomsmen named Hudson. She tells him that her name is Evelyn, but he doesn't realize that she is lying until she asks for her last name. Come to find out, the dreamy groomsmen is the guarantor for the wedding and also the brides brother!

After leaving the wedding, Stella apologizes profusely to the bride and sends her a gift. The gift being a homemade perfume that Stella is trying to create a business for. The bride, Olivia, absolutely loves the perfume and asks Stella to meet up. Olivia loves it so much that she wants her to pitch her company to the board of Olivia's VC company to gain a partnership, funds, and assistance with launching her business. Low and behold, the one who makes the final decision for Stella's business proposal is no one other than Hudson himself, who has found himself hating the person who crashed his sisters wedding.

The rest is history between those two! As usual, Keeland's story are full of angst, love and a little bit of tragedy. I felt so bad for both of the MCs when the twist came out (I saw it coming KIND of, but now to the extent - UGH poor Hudson).

I have loved every single Vi Keeland book that I have read and this will definitely not be my last.
