FANTASTIC return to the world of Dresden. I loved every second of this and really could not put it down very easily. The book felt like a giant reunion with old friends- every time Harry came in contact with one of his "crew" it felt like a little gift. A gift Butcher on occasion twisted up and distressed, bu that's how it should be. ;) Can't wait til this time next year!!!

ETA: Loved this every bit as much on the re-read, and my poor memory for details (particularly since the first time I read it, I flew through) made it like discovering things all new again. I continue to marvel, during every re-read of the series, how well Butcher builds this world. It's incredible, truly.

SKIN GAME now pleeeeeeeeeeeease.

Damn, that was a lot of bad stacked up against him. Butcher continues to make these novels unfold from impossible odds & multiple uh-ohs to great escapes & me yelling "WHAT" at my audiobook during my commute. The addition of Kringle made me laugh, it's just absurd enough. Sort of like a d&d cameo. Other past character connections felt like appropriate pulls to move the story forward, especially the Wild Hunt.
Changes are coming once again for the Dresden team. I'd still like an answer on what the hell the Mac is....
