I loved this Phantom Of The Opera inspired fantasy story. I thought the magic system centered around music and memory was what made this book really interesting.
This book has everything: magic, compelling characters, adventure, learning magic abilities and I loved every moment of it.
Even the romance in here was really enjoyable, and I am not a huge fan of romance in books. The way the relationship develops between the two central characters is slow burn, and you never know where it is headed even if you think you do.
This book is the perfect blend of action and beautiful writing and I highly recommend it.

📚 I absolutely tore through it despite never having seen or listened to PHANTOM - Isda and Emeric's stories are so compelling.
📚 I loved how music and memory were at play in this story, and how precious both those things were to the main characters, if for different reasons.
📚 Though the world was built out enough to serve the story, I would have loved to see more of the country (a fictionalized version of France) and how fendoirs and the elixir market worked in everyday life.
