I liked seeing this side of Kurt's writing. It's more silly and fun. Nice stories rather than philosophical/political commentary diatribes. Some of the stories have a philosophical thought behind them, others are just nice stories.
It was definitely a diverse collection that speaks to the random collecting of the many stories he wrote for magazines and publications.

Kul at läsa såpass gamla noveller och ändå känna att de är lika aktuella nu som då. En bra början för alla som vill ha en ingång till Kurts lite skruvade värld.

All the stories were fun to read. Some were really good. Worth a read for any Vonnegut fan.

Nothing outstanding but some good classic Vonnegut sci fi with the Thanasphere and 2BR02B. Enjoyed the band director ones as well, especially the writing in those.

Kurt Vonnegut inherently understood people. After reading this collection of short stories, that's what I come away with. He knew what makes us tick, what makes us love, what makes us selfish, what makes us foolish. And he knew how to put it into words in a light-hearted and funny way. I think he was a bit of a genius. Every time I finish one of his books, I leave loving his writing more even more.

Great set of short stories by a storytelling master. Some of them were a little cliché, but all of them were told in such clear, evocative prose that it was a pleasure to read every one. Many of the stories harken back to a time when the United States seemed like a younger, more innocent country. They keep you thinking long after.
