ㅤㅤFelt like a mix of Stephen King and Bret Easton Ellis minus the excessive sexual stuff (although, there was some nevertheless), yet the author brought something unique of his own to the book.
ㅤㅤThis book has a fucking personality and I appreciate it. It is both crazy and fascinating. At times I was disgusted, but overall it was entertaining enough for me to keep going.
ㅤㅤAlso, I kept seeing parallels with Mr. Robot series, so that drew me in a bit more in order to explore one of the inspirations for the shows, since I didn't think there were that many parallels.

Letto. Ma forse dovrei dire divorato in qualche ora. Qualche ora in cui il mondo era stato tagliato fuori dalla mia testa. Avendo visto il film precedentemente la storia mi era già nota, e più di una volta nello scorrere le pagine mi giravano in testa flash del film ma nonostante questo la lettura non mi ha annoiato. Il film è bellissimo, ma il libro è stupendo. Più crudo, più reale, più mentale. Il disequilibrio e l'estraneazione del protagonista sono immagini molto più vivide nel libro di quanto non traspaia nel film. Uno stile di scrittura brillante e trascinante che non ti lascia perdere neanche per un secondo. Talmente coinvolgente che ti trovi a parteggiare per dei pazzi e la confusione che attanaglia il protagonista prende anche te. Cominci a chiederti dove inizia la realtà e dove finisce il sogno. Ti immagini nei sotterranei tra sangue e sudore a seguire istinti animaleschi troppo repressi, poi ti sposti nella casa mezza diroccata in cui comincia l'addestramento, e poi in giro per tutti i Fight Club degli Stati Uniti. Fino all'ultima scena non puoi staccare la tua mente e le tue sensazioni da quelle del protagonista. Un gran libro. E un grande scrittore.
The first and second rules of Fight Club are not to talk about Fight Club, and so I won’t, except to say that it isn’t for me. I might’ve liked it when I was 14 or 15, though.
