I was very surprised by this book, Keigo Higashino I only know as a crime thriller writer and this book is a departure from that. A very poignant and moving book with lots of magical realism in it.

Some of the letters to and from the Store and the senders were very moving and it is a well written book with some lovely characters.

I was looking forward to reading this and I am glad that I did, it was superb and lived up to my expectations.

Very cozy and engaging. I was completely thrown off by the second part when I thought it was introducing an entire new tale until the stories began to connect. I really enjoy connected anthologies in film and this was my first time really reading one. The three "main" characters made me laugh with how realistic and dumbed down their dialogue was. I also loved the representation of strong female characters throughout different time periods. It felt very intentional to weigh the differences between the way that the men and the women were plagued with questions of marriage, finances, family, and career. Although sometimes predictable, it was fun when you made the realization that one part was connected to another.

I almost wish the letters back and fourth were a bit longer and sometimes there were extremely detailed descriptions that either felt repetitive or just dragged on longer than necessary. All around great read.

I REALLY LOVE THIS BOOK, this book is heartwarming and this book will be the best book I read in 2023, there are many characters in this book but it is not confusing and the story of each character has a relationship with other characters,

 New favourite book?
This book was absolutely everything I needed right now. Taking me through all the emotions; from laughter to deep reflection, both happy and sad tears.
It's been a while since I've felt a book hit me right in the soul. I just want to re-read it right away!
