WHAT A DRAMA FILLED BOOK, that you didn't realize you needed. Love, sex, and sisters ex-fiances always get in in the way. Until the ex-fiance happens to be the love you have now.

This book was so fun and so swoony. I found myself getting really mad at Ava's parents and sister until the very end, but I just loved how supportive Matthew was. Their story was so sweet and just perfect.

Ava loves her job, and she is not phased by all the hot players on the team, until Matt is the newest player. Matt is not done playing and he uproots his life to move to Seattle to join a new team. Once he finds out Ava is here, he just got a lot happier about being alone in a new city. Matt and Ava have an interesting history and 10 years later they reconnect.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved it! Would recommend, almost perfect and likely would reread.

Ava has had a decade-long crush on Matthew Hawkins, a man who was once off-limits when she was a young teen. Now, as one of the best defensive players in the league, Matthew has come out of retirement and joined the team she works for. As the publicist for the Washington Wolves, Ava has to work closely with Matthew and he really makes this job easy. They find out that their attraction mutual, the chemistry between them is intense and complicated. To keep their relationship under wraps, they decide to keep it a secret from the press and her family. However, as with all secrets, the truth eventually surfaces, leading to an unpredictable outcome.

Ava was great to read about and she really dominated her work environment. All the players loved her and she managed them so well without being constantly hit on. Matthew was so self aware which was great because he knew that Ava wasn't at where he was and waited for her to catch up. These two had such an effortless romance where they can communicate and really enjoy each other.

Tropes: workplace romance, sports romance (NFL), forbidden, sister's ex
Triggers: toxic family

This is a romance between new Washington Wolves player Matthew Hawkins and the team's publicist Ava.
They sort of quickly were attracted to each other as in previous years Matthew was engaged to Ava's older sister. He was handsome man and they didn't take long to have start a relationship with Ava.
I enjoyed the football team and the players and the attraction between the two felt easy and natural.
I liked the level of spice in this one and the characters had a bit more depth which I really valued.
Logan was a very likeable character who was easy on the eye and easy on the page.
Good second book and loved it !!!
