I love how Richelle is able to write plot twists that you don’t really see coming yet they aren’t to over the top that you end up being like what the hell is this!?
This is my tenth time reading this series and still love it as much now as I did the first time I read it.

This book frustrated me more than I thought it would. The strained Lissa/Christian relationship, knowing that its probably not going to end well with Adrian, Dimitri pushing her away.... And it ends with the legal hearing. The action seemed too sparse and predictable. The previous book was just much better I guess, hopefully the series will come to an end with a bang!

This is a fast paced addition to the VA series. This book really messes with the readers feelings and makes them so vulnerable.Nothing goes the way the reader wants it to, which is good because every page is a new surprise. In conclusion, this is a wonderful lead into the grand finale.

I didn't like this one as much as the others in this series. I felt it was a bit slow moving. I was kind of bored at some points. I am hoping it will all come together and make sense in the next book. The events at the end of the book were surprising. On to the next!

Richelle Mead is great at writing twists into her books without making them super predictable. I got to the last page of the book and immediately ran to my shelf to grab the next one.
I think the way Dimitri's feelings are written after he is changed is great and complex, and Rose battling with them and her own feelings even more heartbreaking and interesting to read.
This has been one of my favorite books in the series so far. Very well done, in my opinion.
