Second in the series, but not read in order which seems to be ok. Murder mystery with Horowitz following Hawthorne, being a Watson to his Sherlock. Mind bending trying to reconcil if these are mystery fiction or non-fiction. Horowitz one step behind Hawthorne in the solving and not exactly putting the pieces together right leads to injury of feelings and body. Well written and quick read.
