These Tea Dragon books are queernorm perfection and genuinely very sweet. Suitable for any age, this story is quietly powerful. It's cozy but there's also a bloody dragon battle and the character manage feeling of loss.

This series is quite remarkable and Festival is even better than the original. You deserve to experience this world.

The Tea Dragon serie honestly has it all, it is wonderfully diverse, giving us persons of colour as the main characters but also picturing disabilities, various gender identities and sexual orientations. It is a pleasure to discover more of the universe introduced in “The Tea Dragon Society”. I just loved reading it and I found myself smiling throughout the whole book. It is colourful, positive and cheering in the sweetest way possible.

(Am I the only one thinking there is a Zelda Breath of the Wild reference in it ?)

"Just because something comes easily to you does not mean it has no value"

"You find it effortless because you love it, and that is your gift,

Pros:
Nonbinary/genderfluid representation
•Uncle Erik calls the main character a nibling
•They seem happy on the fact that dragons can turn into female and male.
Deaf Representation
•there's a part at the beginning of the book that says how the text bubbles are signed and how the non deaf person responds.
I liked the part where the dragon asked, "What was that about?" And "Do all humans talk with their hands?"

Cons: I was hoping to run into Minette and Greta rather than these new characters.

"Well, we've come this far, I suppose. It's hard to picture life without you."

This was a sweet story, although I wished it was about the girls from the previous book. It was still very warm and cozy!
