After picking up and enjoying the first book, I was excited to continue in this series.
“The Tea Dragon Festival” is the second book in the “Tea Dragon” series. Rinn is accustomed to the tea dragons she has encountered in her village, but she is not accustomed to meeting full blown dragons. Aedhan was a young dragon that was supposed to protect the village, but unintentionally fell asleep for 80 years. Now, they want to figure out why Aedhan fell asleep for so long, and help him cope with the time he lost.
This story was okay, but it did not have the same magic for me that the first one had. I love the art style and seeing all of the dragons, but ultimately, this story just did not captivate me. I found myself putting it down often and feeling disengaged from the plot. I think the synopsis was a great idea, it just dragged a little for me, and because of that, I felt like nothing happened in the story.
I will probably still pick up the next volume someday, but I am honestly not all that excited to do so.

4.5

I enjoyed this a lot more than the last book (which was still awesome) this one felt a little more grounded and greatly grew from the extra length. There is awesome emby rep, as well as sign language and deaf rep. It's just so sweet and wholesome. The only thing stopping me from giving these a five star is that while they are very sweet and wonderful, I don't feel like I'm constantly going to think about them. Still they are wonderful little palette cleansers. Also the art is some of the most beautiful art I've ever seen in my entire life.

Lovely, gentle, and cozy! I loved the ancient dragons, ASL representation, and the focus on community in this one.
