Really enjoyed the artwork, romance, themes, plot, and pacing. Liked that this one was a bit longer but didn't feel like it. I love and appreciate the queerness, animals, nature, fantasy, and magic, too!

I love the diversity rep on all of Kay O'Neill's works. They are a must in every children's library.

This one has got an air of etherealness to it.

I am absolutely in love with this series! It is like a warm hug in book form! The characters, the illustrations, the world, the story everything is so well developed and beautiful! I loved the inclusion of American Sign Language and how it was portrayed. I have never seen a book have Sign Language done so well before. I am going to enjoy and be rereading this series for years to come and can't recommend this book enough!!!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but I enjoyed this one even more. The art style is absolutely beautiful, and I love the world that this series takes place in. I like that there are character profiles for the main characters as well as all the tea dragons. Since the books are so short, the profiles help you feel a bit more connected to the characters. One of my main issues with the first book was the lack of character depth, but I didn't really have that issue with this book. There was a lot more character development and depth in this book, which vastly improved the story. I still think these books would benefit from being longer, because as soon as I start to really enjoy the story, it's over.

This book is cozy and light and a wonderful prequel to the tea dragon society following some familiar characters and plenty of new characters as well.

I think I enjoyed The Tea Dragon Festival even more then the first book in this series just because it's much longer so you spend more time in this fantasy world full of vibrant nature, homemade meals, friendship and diverse people and creatures. I especially appreciated the incorporation of sign language and Rinn, a genderfluid character using they/them pronouns.

I would happily gift these books to any and every child (and adult) in my life!
