These books are fun and work overtime to tug the heartstrings. There’s that comforting sense that they lack any real danger to the characters you love. This one (which maybe is the last?) went above and beyond to give us apocalyptic problems. I’m not usually a fan of “save the world” scenarios. I prefer the smaller scale conflicts, where real danger feels eminent. I never quite believe authors when they enact a plan to end the world. For this series the second one, in Paris, is still my favorite!

Thoroughly enjoyable entry in the series. Real character growth, and the new location allows for more fun worldbuilding.

Characters are just absolutely wonderful and lovable, and thus will be very greatly missed now that the great tale of infernal adventures have ended. The story itself is good too, very fitting lazy reading, taking it on a slower pace than it is told, which again makes me sad, for I don't have another book like this I could take my time with.

A masterful piece. Strong 5 out of 5 and then some.

4 1/2 stars. Definitely my favorite so far. Also, two words: GAY. ANGELS.

I really liked the first two books and while I thought this one had a great premiss and interesting stories the appearance of three romances was just weird. They felt contrived and the focus was on that more than necessary. I am not against romance in books at all but this just felt sophomoric and I could have done with less if it.

Oh what a good end to the series. Very high stakes but so very satisfying. A bit sad to see Greta and all go.
