Read this for my Crime Lit class.

Meh. Too convoluted I think. There's just SO much going on in this book and it really doesn't all need to be there. I feel like there's shock value for the sake of shock value, and it didn't resonate with me.

So disappointed in Reese Witherspoon’s latest book! I found it confusing, unbelievable, and not very enjoyable. Sort of bummed I wasted my time...

The story feels disjointed, writing is a little amateur/ elementary. The whole storyline just doesn’t seem plausible. I’m not convinced that I’m in this world/along the ride. I’m very aware I’m reading a book and a very terribly written one at that. The ending is more like a soap opera than anything else.

If I had rated this the second after I put it down, it would be a 4, but now, 12 hours later, I feel like if you think about most aspects of it at all, it kind of falls apart lol. An enjoyable, fast-paced read in the moment, though! The narrative voice is really distinctive and fun.

I read this book on vacation and it was the perfect mind numbing thriller to read on the beach. 

The plot twist, while very obvious for those paying attention, was the perfect thing for me who is reading two other books right now. 

Totally recommend as a palate cleanser or something to get book numbers up!!

This book took a long time to get interesting and it was hard to follow who some of the characters were at first but it ended up being exciting and hard to put down.
