Wanted to love it

I'll preface this with saying that I have read probably half of KLV's extensive repertoire and absolutely adore her writing. But the heroine of the Crusader novels got on my last nerve with her dramatics. The storyline was awesomely imaginative and would have been a five star review if not for Rory's willfillness.

Get out the tissues! Overall, I really enjoyed this love story. After Outlander, it's my favorite time-travel romance. Le Veque does an excellent job of describing the conditions of medieval Europe. Most historical or time travel romances gloss over the realities of the time, but the descriptions in this novel almost make it real. Beware of the twist at the end. I used a lot of tissues for this one!
