As a series I have been intrigued by for a while, I was pleasantly surprised but how much I enjoyed the writing style. Unfortunately, the pacing of some of the short stories in this collection was a little bit off for me. Looking forward to continuing and getting to the full length novels to see if the pacing improves.

Strange reading this having played so much of the games and watched the show. The parts that are familiar, but then different in key ways. Geralt is a much funnier man in this book than in the adaptations.

Short Story Collections from The Witcher Series.
Fantasy translated from Polish to English.
This is the first book I am reading in this series. After having had played a bit of the videogame and watched the first season of the show on Netflix.
This was great character development book. It is all about Geralt and a few characters he comes across in the world. It is written with his PoV of different stories he is telling that take their influence from well known fairytales. Though we see some strong female characters it is very male dominant. This may be the way the books are written world build wise or just because this is from the male point of view. I know some people that can not stomach some of the content they feel is very misogynistic. As much fantasy can be or seem even with strong female roles. Despite this, for me, I still enjoyed the book and stories in there.
