I liked the same as the first one but for different reasons. It reads the same way (fanfictiom esque) but I think it has a more solid plot happening. I felt like the first one had to spend a lot of time on introducing the characters so we didn't get to see then in action but this time we did.
Love that Ella and Reed get to together and are actually quite stable? For most of the book. I think it was good to shift away from their relationship being the issue and move more solidly into Brooke and the family dynamic as a whole. While the fighting and sex is ofc over the top for high school I think you can suspend belief enough to be along for the ride.
Like seeing the family coming together and talking.

Kâğıt Prenses'in ilk yarısını sevmiş sayılırken ikinci yarısını sevmemiştim.

THIS BOOK man. i liked it better than the first, way more character growth was represented here. honestly, the first half of the book was so tiring, i hated the extended time that ella was mad at reed, but it was for good reasons, i know. i loved how little pieces of the royals’ lives have been revealed as the stories go. the last half of the book was like a rollercoaster with like a hundred loop-di-loops. you’d think a part was the climax, but it would keep going until you’re stuck with the ending. i also enjoyed reading reed’s point of view and lookin at his thoughts rather than ella’s. don’t get me wrong, ella’s still my favorite to read into, but reed really brought on that persistent, strong yet vulnerable vibe in his thoughts. overall, the story just kept getting more fucked up and twisted, but i liked it. when you think it’ll resolve in a peaceful way, you get hit with a nasty cliffhanger. and i live for cliffhangers ;) OH AND CALLUM LITERALLY IS THE BEST DUDE actually the guy used to get on my nerves for being such an uninvolved dad but in this book he’s such a badass and sticks up for his children n ella !! an actual king B)

2019 Re-Read.

i dropped my original, generous rating of five stars to three because - yikes. the royals are truly fucked up, yes, but someone else's review said it best: this plot is hardly fitting of high schoolers at all. it's truly over the top and definitely only falls into young adult simply because its characters are, in fact, young adults. das it.

Original 2017 Read.
This series is seriously something that must be devoured at once. I was so livid at the end of Paper Princess that I quickly picked up the following two and now that I've finished book #2, I'm diving straight into Twisted Palace.

What a gloriously fucked up family the Royals are. The drama is a bit over the top sometimes, but no one ever said entertaining had to be realistic. Reed doesn't piss me off nearly as much as he did the first time around because as the person who recommended this to me said: "oh, there's someone worse."

Understatement of the millennium, ladies and gents.

I think I may have been a little too hard on PP and it's outrageous-ness. I can't tell you that last time I sat down and read multiple books in a series in a day. The team that makes up Erin Watt does a fantastic job of making it impossible to put it down. Or maybe it's because I'm thirsty for this nonsense.

See you on the other side of Twisted Palace.

There is not much I can say about this book without spoiling it or that has not been said yet. So I make it short

Unlike the first book we get dual view…… Reed and Ella which is great and gives us the chance to get to know Reed better and what drives him.

The books starts off with Reeds POV and right or even a few minutes before the last book left us hanging…… Much of the book we know what drives him … Ella and how to make u for the ending of last book.  We see how much the family really liked Ella and what an impact she made

Emma is making progress but sometimes she is just a bit annoying but then again I could see where she is coming from and understood her. Given her past.

I also liked Papa Royal a tiny bit more; we see that he is not as clueless as we might have thought. It always kind of bothered me that he seemed clueless.

Of course there us more drama in school and it wouldn’t be the same without it. We get plenty of Easton which was A OKAY t for me, since he is still my favorite Royal. We not getting much of the twins but that was okay. I always just saw them as an extension or so.

This book like that last ends with a cliffhanger and much bigger than the last. We get two things thrown at us that leave us hanging in the air. And they are both HUGE. One I had no idea and the other one I sort of saw coming and figured they could play that way. Either way a cruel way to let us hanging lol .

I rate this book 5 ★
