I didn't really care for this book.

Here are why reasons why...:
1. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters, which makes it hard for me to care about what happens to them throughout the story.
2. I didn't like jumping between the three different perspectives between each chapter. It took me out of the story to constantly reorient myself to whoever's story I was currently reading.
3. I feel like two of the characters that we follow are just dealt an incredibly shitty hand in life and both commit atrocities without there being any real repercussions (which I have a hard time accepting.)
4. I didn't really get a sense of fulfillment at the end of the book. I was just happy that it was over, and that tells me that I just didn't enjoy it.

Here are some triggers that might upset those that might read this book:
1. Child Abuse (Sexual, Physical, and Mental)
2. Spousal Abuse
3. Rape
4. Abortion/Miscarriage

This book had a really creepy and twisted vibe (which I love) and some good plot twists but it was kinda disappointing.
For 450 pages, I was expecting a lot more.
The story was really good and I loved the way it was told from three different POVs, which made me question a lot of things (especially if the mcs were trustworthy).
Their past was honestly traumatising and cruel but it gave them a hell of a back story!
The way everything happened, not at all as we thought from the beginning...
But there were so many loose strings that would've given amazing plot twists.
I really was expecting a lot more from a book with such good reviews. Or maybe the problem is me and the fact that I have REALLY high standards for thrillers and mystery books...
