The one with the Sureté academy and the map. This one was so good, one of my favorites so far! (Maybe also #6 and #9?) Layers of mysteries, moving history of Three Pines, and new perspectives on Gamache. I liked seeing Beauvoir do a little mentoring of the next generation. Also the afterward had me in tears!

I have not really been a huge fan of the internal politics of the Sûreté as depicted in the series, but it all works really well here. I loved the secondary mystery of the map and as usual, I adored Ruth.
