I loved "Fractured Souls" so damn much.
I knew I was going to love it even before I started reading: angels and demons? Hot, sexy MC hellbent on getting the other MC to fall for him? Dark forces and black magic? It sounded just like what I look for in a book. Five pages in, I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed: I was already obsessed.

The writing is riveting, the world-building masterful and complex and interesting, the characters are absolute GEMS.
I loved both of the MCs, Cassius and Morgan, so so much: their initial strong dislike of one another slowly but surely transforms into a relationship that's sizzling with chemistry and banter and affection. I loved them separately, Cassius with his painful past and hidden powers, his loneliness and good heart, Morgan with his protective streak and endless care, his nightmares and badass attitude. But together they truly were special: a great team and so protective of one another they made me nearly cry. I loved how Morgan just decided, two days into their first meeting, that Cassius was his soulmate and that he was going to spend all of his considerable energies on satisfying, cherishing and protecting him. I loved how Cassius, slowly and reluctantly at first, ended up trusting him with his heart and body.
I also loved all the side characters. A.M. Salinger completely mastered the found family trope and the one thing that makes me always weak in the knees: when one of the MC, who's used to being alone and unprotected and hurt, finds himself with a whole new host of friends that decide to adopt him, protect him and love him to death. Cassius did not stand a chance against Morgan's team: they were lovely and funny and hilarious. And I cannot wait to read more about them.

I'm so looking forward to reading the second book in this fantastic new series. I'm also so curious to see what else the author has in mind for Cassius and Morgan.
