A bit cringey for my taste and the whole thing either involved no communication or miscommunication. Some parts were cute and festive but that’s about it.

The description of the shop locations doesn’t match the illustrated map on the inside cover, the dialogue is cheesy and somewhat childish, the grandmother’s voice is too young and the fact she’s both grandmother and nana interchangeably was all very frustrating and I couldn’t cope. I desperately wanted to love this book but it just didn’t work for me. This is one book series that I can definitely say is overhyped in a bad way.
