This book has to be the best of the entire series. Point Blanc was OK and Skeleton Key was a HUGE disappointment. The whole concept of "taking over the world" and "getting revenge" has really got a bit old.
Luckily eagle strike was about neither of the two. Damian Cray Ida. Totally unique villain who actually wants to help the world, but that the cost of millions of lives. He is perhaps you would say my favorite villain as his intentions are different from the classic world domination and wants revenge.
Anthony has read written a great book and the death of Yassen and the part of the truth of Alex's father added a great twist and of course the merging in with the introduction to the next book namely Scorpia.
This book is far better than all the other Alex Rider books as this time Alex is all on his own with no help form the government.
This is the only Alex Rider book that I've given 5 stars.

Best of the series till now

Loved it very much... Felt like a James bond or Bourne novel for me... Even though I was 30 years old, author took me into the shoes of 15 year old. Will continue the series!!

Eagle Strike is the fourth book in the Alex Rider series and it is the most ambitious book so far. Whilst holidaying in the South of France, Alex’s hosts are subjected to a horrifying and vicious attack. Alex recognises his old enemy, Yassen Gregorovich, the man who killed his uncle and he realises that this is the man behind the attacks.

Alex takes what he knows to MI6 but this time they are not interested. Alex is left out in the cold and it is up to him to find out what is going on and once again to save the world.

This is a brilliant and explosive book and I couldn't put it down! I am looking forward to the rest of the books in the series and I believe that the rest of the series in on an equal par with the Power of Five series (which Anthony Horowitz only writing after the fifth Alex Rider book).
