I feel like the last 40% of this book were fantastic, but the first 60% or so kind of dragged with the build up, which is to be expected when you’re sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the action to happen

Overall, I thought it was good and I was tearing up at the end!

Even though it was a gut turning book, I enjoyed the ending…
Kids get kidnapped from a school bus and keep at the underground bunker for ransom… let me just say that having a kid that rides on a school bus, this is horrific! Trying to go through all of the terrifying fear that parents feel when something is wrong… when they don’t know where their child is and what is happening to them….
The bus driver: she was annoying at the beginning but I liked the 360 switch and he actually being a big support to the kids.
Sage: a child that is so brave that she managed to literally
dig her way out of the bunker and save all of the kids lives…
all of the kids are great in the book but Sage is one of POVs
Kidnappers: two dumb guys who decide that life is unfair and want to make quick money by kidnapping the kids… one at least
has consciousness to understand the severity of what they are doing and at the end at least starts to try and dig kids up…

Insane story and as I’ve learned at the end, based of real life events
