Solid follow up to the first book. I actually enjoyed this one a little more, but trying to keep up with all the Bobs toward the end got confusing!

I only gave this book 4 stars because very few of the storylines were resolved by the book's completion. Despite that, I am fully invested in the story and have already started reading the 3rd installment.

Overall it was a very enjoyable read, with new storylines spawning up with every new Bob that was cloned. I found myself most drawn to the story of the Deltan race and the main character Archimedes. I am always somewhat ambivalent to the human stories and I found myself reading them solely to get to the next chapters involving new alien races. The newest antagonist introduced in this book - The Others - has really raised the stakes and changed the overall feeling of the second book to something much more ominous. I'm eagerly looking forward to the conclusion!
