No smart ass AI, but that's okay, these books got the gumption to Stand on their own.
Rescuing humans, kicking arse, same old different crew! When the formula works, you run with it! And it def works in this situation. But I do miss the skippster.

More fun from the work of Craig Alanson. The Mavericks are the team left behind on Paradise. They are wise guys from the word go. Led by Emily Perkins they know how to get into trouble and how to get out. Set in the same universe that Skippy lives in; he's not in this story, the pacing is the same and the excitement is solid. Will Emily's alien legion be able to cut it? Do you have to ask? Read the book.
