Great storytelling. I guessed the ending about midway through the book, and it was nice to see it all come together cohesively at the end.

Admittedly, things all worked out too perfectly in the end to be believable (y'know, for a book about time travel/manipulation).

Biggest drawback is that I didn't care about the characters.

Written from Jen’s POV. Characters are in depth and realistic, particularly Jen and Kelly. The plot is intriguing and well told. I did twig part of the plot twist in the first few chapters. Whether this was Ms McAllister tipping her hand or a bit of specialised knowledge on my part I’m not sure. I didn’t catch on to the whole twist until the very satisfying ending.

You do have to suspend disbelief as far as hysterical strength causing a time warp. To read Jen’s journey is  worth it.

This book is so good. I haven't had a mystery book shock me like this one in I don't know how long. Wow. I will be reading the rest of her books.

After seeing this on loads of must read lists, I bit the bullet and picked this up. I knew nothing before going into this book so I was surprised on how the story progressed - which is definitely not a bad thing, I just wasn't expecting it.
The more I read, the more I needed to know what was going to happen and how this was going to end, if that was even an option. It didn't disappoint.
I very much enjoyed the twisting and turning of this and appreciated the different perspectives throughout.

This is an excellent read. Time travelling backwards, but dont let this put you off. It is a mix of Groundhog Day and Back to the Future, but crime based. It is also about so much more love, parenting, relationships, secrets, and most impactful for me, mum guilt with a psychological thriller added in. It's very cleverly written, well paced, and it must have taken ages to plot. Whilst it is a thriller in that her son murders someone, she is travelling back in time to try to stop it. A why dunit rather than a who dunit, so very clever. Each day, she jumps backwards to find something that is relevant to why. Sometimes jumping back a few days other times weeks. It has compelling characters you invest in, and you root for Jen willing her to get to the bottom of the motivations of her son. It's an original, brilliant concept, ingenious gripping ride of a read.
