As someone who struggles with anxiety I found this book extremely relatable. I love all the characters, but the ending is kinda a bummer.

I will have a better review later. For now, I want to say that John Green always wraps up his stories so beautifully.

I felt seen by this book. As someone who struggles with medical anxiety, I understood Aza’s complex anxieties and fears on a real level. John Green did an amazing job of examining mental illness and how it can intrude on every aspect of an individuals life, even when they are taking steps to try to combat their sickness. I’ve never felt an author so accurately represent mental illness as Green did in this book.

This is my second time reading this book, and it’s just as good as I remember it being. Green does such a great job of articulating specific feelings and experiences. Books like these—ones that tackle tough issues and don’t shy away from them are so important, and I’ll always admire Green for being willing to go to the difficult places with his readers.
