What an absolutely beautiful book!!!

It all begins with Daisy and Nate working alternating shifts at museum… Daisy does nights, Nate does days. There paths cross for only 15 minuites a day but 15 minuites is all it takes to fall in love…

If you’re a fan of Grumpy/ sunshine AND slowburn then this is the book for you.

Their story’s are SO heartbreaking and the way they cope with their trauma feels so real making them especially relatable and loveable.
Read this book now. You will laugh. You will cry. You will fall in love. And i guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. David did a spectacular job with this one!

This was such a sweet book. The two perspectives worked really well for me. I loved how complicated each of the protagonists were and how their stories began to intertwine as the book went on.
Daisy's story was so sad and quite shocking in places, as was Nate's, so I was really rooting for their happiness. I loved the side characters, who felt like fully rounded characters I could easily come across in real life.
Possibly the only negative was, looking back, I can't remember that a lot happened in between the significant plot points... but it was definitely charming!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh I loved this book, read it in less than 24 hours and from the first Quote to the final page I fell in love with Nate and Daisy. Being from Manchester I followed them through their story down the streets too. Didn't really want to leave them at the end.

The Handover - David M. Barnett

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Random Things Tours and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Daisy does nights and Nate does days, which causes no end of hilarity at the Manchester Museum of Social History. 'It should be Daisy on days and Nate on nights,' Marion on the reception says to her at least once a month, as though Daisy hasn't yet got the joke.

Daisy is the night security guard at the Manchester Museum of Social History. She takes her job very seriously, protecting the museum from troublemakers and anyone who openly mocks the fact they have a dinosaur on display.

This book is so much more than your average romance, Barnett skillfully manages to incorporate deeper issues such as; terminal illness, divorce, and domestic abuse, all of which have shaped Daisy and Nate. Barnett has written this book so it alternates between Nate's and Daisy's perspective, slowly introducing the pair to the reader.

Getting off to a slow start, before you know it you are hooked. With a very gentle pace this book is so easy and quick to read, that it should appeal to a wide audience. My only disappointment with this book is that I felt I needed more time with Nate and Daisy - which is the sign of a good book!
