Fantastic book, a bit of a culture shock. Can't wait to read the next instalment.

DNF got to about 25%

This has been on my radar for many years, because it was recommended to me by my Nan.
Unfortunately it's not for me. I knew I would struggle reading it, as it's large and not usually my type of book, so I decided to listen to it on Audio book instead.

Simply put, I just wasn't interested in the story or the characters. Life's too short to keep going with a book you aren't enjoying.

I would give this book a 3.5 if it were possible. The start was a little rough. This book is so different than anything I've read. But this little human girl who gets adopted by a group of Neanderthals, I couldn't stop reading it. I had to know what happened to her. On to the 2nd book.

I am not sure why it took me so long to get to this book. I feel like I am late to a really good party!

I love the world that has been created and especially love the description of plants and surroundings.

It’s a great book, and you really can’t help but fall in love with most of the characters. It’s a coming of age story, that at first glance seems vastly different than other coming of age stories, but might have more in common with them than the reader might think.

This book was given to me as a present. It's the best prehistoric book that I have heard of and enjoyed reading it.
