This is one of those books that rating is meaningless. Written by a holocaust survivor, it manages to depict all the horror of the concentration camps and labor camps without being over dramatic (if such a thing is possible whan discussing about one of the most atrocious acts of the human history). But it doesn't only talk about the horror, it talks about the hope, the will to survive, to live and feel happy again.

Harrowing and pragmatic and outstandingly readable. It is disturbing to think how few survivors are left, and I'm glad that the author has devoted so much of her life to passing along her experience.

En mycket bra bok som var lätt att läsa trots det tunga ämnet. Den berättade tydligt och bra på ett väldigt målande vis om Förintelsen. Tycker nästan alla borde läsa den, den är inte lång och dess innehåll är väldigt lärorikt och informativ och kommer var med mig länge. Den har mycket hemskt i sig, men samtidigt finns där skrivet mellan raderna den där gliman av hopp man vill ha för att framtiden kan bli bättre.

Nopeasti luettu ja lyhyt kirja. Ei tarjonnut minulle hirveästi uutta tietoa koskien holokaustia, mutta olenkin lukenut siitä aika paljon jo ennen tätä. Mutta mielestäni tämä on varsin hyvä kirja ihmisille, joilla on kysymyksiä koskien holokaustia tai eivät vielä tiedä siitä paljoakaan. Pääasiassa tämä kirja onkin varmasti tarkoitettu nuoremmalle yleisölle, koska kirjassa olevat kysymykset ovat pääasiassa nuorten esittämiä. Kysymyksistä osa on myös hyvin ajankohtaisia.
