oh man. it’s been 15 or 16 years since i first read this and it’s still absolutely magical.

one of the few books i've ever dnf'ed. a wonderful story with incredible fantastic elements, but really one of those books that you cannot read as an adult without it losing some of its magic. i know i loved it as a child, so i didn't want to destroy it for myself by reading it again.
