idk. the storyline was okay but i just feel like the writing was super juvenile and the characters very two dimensional. everything happened way too fast in this book without leaving any time to marinate. like eva turning to stone in the beginning lasted 0.2 seconds…how was i supposed to even care??

and oh my god don’t even get me started on how naive eva was…even at the end with all the evidence pointing against a certain character, she still chose to look past everything. like there’s a difference between being forgiving and just plain stupid. however i am still interested in how jacks’s storyline ends and the lore behind the universe (okay fine and to see the progression of evajacks), so i will keep reading.

i’m pulling an eva and blindly hoping the next book will be 10x better than this (i will say tho this was entertaining. i was just rolling my eyes the whole time).
