This pocket sized novella contains 4 short stories that will have you wanting the get the next issue. If you’re into dark, medieval type fantasy this is for you. Truly enjoyed the storytelling from each author. Minus 1 star because the first story wasn’t the best.

A collection of four weird sword-and-sorcery tales.

"A Town Called Trepidation" is the most fantastical, with the kind of world-building I'm sure the author could easily write a novel around. "Stella Splendens" is very effectively brutal and short. "The Questing Beast" was my personal favourite, retelling an Arthurian story for a fun, clever perspective. And "Brightstar" rounds us out with some good ol' Viking horror.

I'm looking forward to reading more of what Old Moon Quarterly has to offer.
