4.5/5 stars but I have to round down for the plot holes
This was such a quick and easy read that kept me on the edge of my seat. I was finding any excuse to read this from the toilet to class when I decided to not pay attention. The ending was great and now I wanna keep reading the series to see how the story continues.
However, there was a major plot hole in the book that pissed me off: How do you have multiple personality disorder but have the intelligence to plan and execute a high stakes kidnapping? It makes no sense! I hated the part of the book where Alex was interviewing Gary and Alex was trying to decide whether or not he believed him. How do you have a PhD but fail to see that this man is PLAYING YOU???
ALSO, the romance between Alex and Jezzie felt so forced. James Patterson is great at writing a thriller, but this romance was bad. I was never rooting for them. I hated Jezzie from the start and I knew she'd have something to do with the kidnapping. 0/10 character, good riddance fool!!!
