I listened to the Australian version which was narrated by Dave Hughes, and it was excellent. I was absolutely like this as a child XD

Any frustrated parent, and even those of us who don't have kids, can relate to this charming little book. The illustrations are beautiful and I can't wait to hear Samuel L. Jackson narrate this one as he did the earlier Go the F*!# to Sleep.

As a parent of two quite picky children, I found this book hilarious. Only 32 pages so very fast five minutes read, but oh boy almost every page had me laughing so much. Really funny, not tear-in-the-eye funny though. As I read this first from Mansbach, I'm now intrigued to check the other books from the author as well...

Is there a way to give negative stars?

So I hated the first book but I had already ordered this one from the library, and since I only listened to the audio of the first, I thought actually having the book in front of me for the second would make it click. Unfortunately all it really did was make me hate this one even more than the first.

Actually having the book in front of me caused the glaringly awful writing to just slap me in the face repeatedly, it's like it was written by a foul mouthed 5th grader.

I don't understand why people like this.

Here's an expletive for you...

Please stop writing this shit.

Listened to the audio version narrated by Bryan Cranston and it was goddamn beautiful.

F-ing hilarious, especially as read by Brian Cranston. Cathartic for all parents of kids who won’t eat, for whatever reason. This may not be to your taste, and that’s fine. It happens to hit me right in the funny bone.

The first book by this author is the pretty famous Go the F*ck to Sleep that was read by Samuel L. Jackson (who did a great job).
This second book is about children's eating habits (and other things like clothes) and brought to life by the unrivalled Stephen Fry.

I might have missed out on the illustrations (though I know some of them from Amazon's inside look) but the audio version was worth it as I believe it's even funnier this way.

No, I myself don't have kids (yet), but that doesn't mean I don't know about some "difficulties" parents sometimes have to go through when it comes to rebellious kids or kids that are simply tired and uncooperative (no malicious intention necessary). And many parents refuse to just say out loud and in no uncertain terms what the downsides of being a parent can be so the author's contribution is not only hilarious and spot-on but also necessary.
