Such an interesting memoir that provides an unseen insight into the realities of living with sociopathy. It outlines the struggles of self acceptance as well as the challenges of social inclusion for those both diagnosed and those questioning their personality type, whilst highlighting how the psychological field has failed to address sociopathy as a true disorder.

This was extremely insightful and absolutely brilliant.

Similar to other 1 & 2 star reviews. DNF. Author supposedly has a phd but there’s not really record of this? Also, I find it hard to listen to a supposedly clinical psychologist call herself a sociopath (not a diagnosable mental illness) and then recount her childhood which basically describes a girl with autism/neurodivergence/ocd.

found the insight into sociopathy and antisocial pd super interesting and a great inside look into the reasoning behind the actions often taken by people with aspd. I like the idea brought up that sociopathy may exist on a spectrum, and really enjoyed the epilogues explanation of effective treatment.
