A beautiful graphic novel about a young woman spending a summer at an arts camp making ceramics.
It details the creative process in a beautiful and inspiring way.
It's also about friendship and youth and mental health troubles.
There were some aspects I failed to understand...what was she saying with the cat?  And why was there the cat AND the wolf
and why did they both get destroyed
?

lovely sad bittersweet way to explore these themes - i couldn’t necessarily relate to what the characters were going through but it felt real and true

Slip is a book bound together by the emotions and relationships of the characters. This could’ve easily made the novel hard to follow, but it didn’t because it was done well.
Color is another integral part of Slip’s storytelling. The book isn’t in full color, usually staying in black and white, but there are moments when the main character is thinking about her friend Phoebe, the art turns red, beautifully portraying the emotions that come with what happens throughout the plot.
Overall, a good read. I wish we could’ve gotten a proper resolution between Jade and Phoebe, but the exclusion of that doesn’t leave too many loose ends.

a book about creative process and mental health/mental illness. i love the use of color in this graphic novel, how it expresses feeling and what's going on in the main character's heart. this story really shows how much people are impacted by mental illness hurting the ones they love.

This was really good and definitely hit me harder than I expected it to.
