So, this book series, not her best work. I think this book was slightly better than the other one but it just felt shallow, not as much as the last one bc I had some increase on the amount of specific poems that I liked in this book, but still not the besto poetry I've read so far

emotional reflective medium-paced

I always love Amanda Lovelace's poetry. She isn't the rhyming or "standard" poetry but i love it. This was not as personal to me as some of her others but I absolutely love the use of "big sister says". Maybe cause I have a big sister who I worshipped as a kid.
If you have never read Amanda Lovelace. Go get one or all of her books. I have never been disappointed. Her words are a friend or sister listening to all your heartache & helping you find legs to stand wit and a voice to shout with.

This book felt as if Amanda Lovelace reached into my soul and wrote poetry about it. I think that so far, this one is the one I relate to the most.

I somehow always reach for Amanda Lovelace's books when I'm feeling down and when self doubt and insecurities hit. And her books always make me feel better about myself and help me believe in my self, at least a little bit.

Anyway, I absolutely loved this book and the message the author was sending. Part one was beautiful, and as someone who has a twin sister.... my heart y'all
