Another example of how to write an amazing story and a manga series.

The character development is slowly coming together drip feeding situations where we get a feel for Armin, Mikasa and of course Eren, plus others. The action is excellent with the titans eating the humans and putting fear into the soldiers, the world-building is coming along nicely whereby we get to see where the humans live but also got a little snippet of what might be beyond the wall from Armin and the artwork is fantastic!

I love the way each panel has a large b/w border around it separating it from the other panels. It really makes each scene stand out. The details on the faces, the titans, the buildings and equipment, it's just really well drawn and Hajime Isayama has created a monster.

It's easy to see from reading this manga why it was turned into the anime that is known and loved world wide today. It's becoming my favourite manga over My Hero Academia too because it's better drawn and obviously much more adult. Not to say I don't hold MHA in very high regard, I do, but I think that this manga series, Attack on Titan, could be the best one I've read.

Considering I've seen the anime up-to-date of this review, and I've decided to purchase in physical format and read all of the Attack on Titan manga should show you what a compelling read it is. If you're reading this review and have never read a manga before, pick up Attack on Titan vol. 1 and you will instantly be hooked on the grimdark fantasy human race survival story within its pages.
