Although this was fun, I felt like there was too much going on - none of the storylines were developed enough to be truly cohesive. Would have preferred there to be less 'villains'/conflicts, but fleshed out.
Also, I know there are lots of wolf shifter books, but the descriptions of the bears in terms of behaviours (alphas, community etc) came across as wolf - I'm not sure what the purpose was of making them bear in this case.
