This book could have been so good! Sadly, it wasn't

Party Planner by [a:Meg Cabot|11654|Meg Cabot|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1197201648p2/11654.jpg] 5/5
This story was a great one to start with! It was super funny and super cute. It was just what I expected from Meg Cabot. And it took place at the NY Journal <3

Traveling Light by [a:Carole Matthews|120535|Carole Matthews|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1312230130p2/120535.jpg] 1/5
This one started off strong, and ended terribly. I almost didn't finish it. I felt no connection to the characters and there was zero chemistry between the MC and the love interest.

Cat Lady by [a:Alicia Valdes Rodriguez|3252221|Alicia Valdes Rodriguez|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] 1/5
The writing was a bit simplistic and felt forced. It was also extremely boring.

Changing People by [a:Sophie Kinsella|6160|Sophie Kinsella|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1245821549p2/6160.jpg] 3/5
I really expected more from this author! But it was an OK read. I didn't really like Fizz and I wasn't convinced about the romance, but it was pretty fun.

New York by [a:Jill A. Davis|89549|Jill A. Davis|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1290023305p2/89549.jpg] 1/5
Absolutely horrible. This story had no redeeming qualities. It also seemed oddly pro-smoking...

Revenge by [a:Emily Barr|24534|Emily Barr|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1444802879p2/24534.jpg] 2/5
It was mildly interesting, and I did feel a connection with the MC and felt sorry for her.

Here Comes Harry [a:Jessica Adams|23630|Jessica Adams|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1310188115p2/23630.jpg] 1/5
No, just no. Despite the fact that the MC had an abortion, it seemed very Pro-Life, and the MC wasn't very likable. The writing was terrible along with the other characters. It was really, truly awful.

Know It All by [a:Sarah Mlynowski|771|Sarah Mlynowski|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1209389266p2/771.jpg] 4/5
This one was actually really interesting! It was a bit repetitive, but it had a satisfying conclusion.

In Agony by [a:Isabel Wolff|133715|Isabel Wolff|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1247597902p2/133715.jpg] 5/5
This one was so much fun!!! It had an AMAZING ending and it left me wanting more. Probably the best in the collection.

Dating the Enemy by [a:Lauren Henderson|17761|Lauren Henderson|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1281380552p2/17761.jpg] 1/5
HORRIBLE! Lacked plot and read like an essay. It also had a really bleak out-look on humanity.

From This Moment by [a:Megan McCafferty|79922|Megan McCafferty|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1197190097p2/79922.jpg] 1/5
Boring and takes a long time to get into.

What Goes Around by [a:Louise Bagshawe|153281|Louise Bagshawe|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1267837475p2/153281.jpg] 3/5
It had some interesting characters, but it's not really worth your time.

Rudy by [a:Lisa Jewell|93504|Lisa Jewell|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1272239443p2/93504.jpg] 1/5
Really boring with an unlikable MC.

The Truth is Out There by [a:Marian Keyes|6104|Marian Keyes|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1239296146p2/6104.jpg] 3/5
This one was so unique! It was pretty funny, but a tad bit boring at times.

Lots of fun! Great short stories by familiar names and some new (to me) chick lit authors.

The reason I picked up this book was because two of my favorite authors wrote short stories for it - Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella. Plus, I love a good short story and the book promised to contain a bunch of stories geared towards a female audience for the most part.

The book called out multiple reactions from me - some stories I loved, some stories I liked and some I didn't end up caring about at all.

I, of course, have my favorites:

1. Party Planner by Meg Cabot - I thought this was a cute read, and a lovely short by Meg. The characters were lovable and I liked how it was told through emails. I think I love everything Meg writes.

2. Changing People by Sophie Kinsella - I think I love everything she writes. Seriously. So yeah, this one was a good one too.

3. Revenge by Emily Barr - This was highly amusing! I found myself laughing at the extremes the character went to. It's just a fun read.

4. The Truth is Out There by Marian Keyes - Okay, now this was a lovely, unique story tossed in amongst everything else. I thought it was really cute!

All the other stories were okay reads, nothing that really stood out for me. I do like the fact that all these authors came together for the compilation. It's a good mix of chick lit stories, but not something I feel the need to own necessarily. If you can borrow it from your library, and you love chick lit, you should go ahead and do it!
